At our practice we have the pleasure of offering orthodontic treatment to patients of all ages. Through our patients treatment, we have the opportunity to follow their journey towards a straight smile, a balanced bite and most importantly a greater sense of self-confidence.
A persons’ smile constantly ranks amongst the top physical attributes which help to form a positive first impression. Many studies have shown that when a person is self-conscious about their smile they hold back their true emotions in various social and professional settings; in turn they are often missing out on various opportunities in these situations.
The patient pictured below is a teenaged girl who was so self-conscious about her smile that she only wanted a part-time job where she would be in the stock room and not have to interact with the public. Over the past 5 months we’ve witnessed her self-confidence blossom as her teeth have started to straighten. She now works at Tim Hortons, seeing and speaking to many people every single day. Her mom says “She’s like a new person”.Whether it giving a young teenager that extra boost of confidence to smile or a helping a mother of 3 who has finally decided to treat herself, creating well-aligned smiles has proven to be a rewarding journey.
